Our Board

  • Shannon Walton-Clark (they/them)

    Board Chair

    Shannon received a graduate degree in government from Johns Hopkins University in May 2018. They have dedicated most of their professional and personal life to LGBTQ+ equality and advocacy. They are an avid historian, spending way too much free time reading historical nonfiction. When they're not reading they're typically cooking, playing with their cat and visiting the Oregon Zoo.

  • Jenna Devenberg (she/her)

    Vice Chair

    Jenna is a student at Portland State University finishing her B.S in Political Science. She works as a campaign coordinator focused on getting women and BIPOC candidates elected. She loves spending time with her wife and daughter, especially playing any type of games, Settlers of Catan and Fortnite are family favorites!

  • Shelby Walton-Clark (they/she)

    Secretary/Treasurer

    Shelby has spent the last 10 years as a queer advocate in education, and nonprofit spaces. They taught elementary music, 5th grade, and jazz education before landing as the nonprofit liaison and grant manager for Trimet’s Fare Relief programs.

    In their free time, you can find Shelby crafting, playing gigs with their punk band, crafting, playing board games with their spouse, and watching horror movies.

  • Abigail Sibelman (she/her)

    Abigail is a former teacher who lives in Hillsboro with her wife. She has a Master’s of Education from Portland State University. Since the beginning of her wife’s transition, Abigail has felt called to serve and advocate for her local LGBTQ+ community. As a teacher, she always believed in her students’ rights to be their authentic selves, a value she holds for every human. She and her wife are currently navigating their path to parenthood. At home, Abigail enjoys reading and watching sci fi, playing board games, and cooking tasty vegetarian meals.

  • Miranda Luledjian (she/her)

    Miranda is passionate about promoting inclusivity and supporting queer community safe spaces.

    Her leisure activities include reading, tabletop games, knitting, and spending time with her friends and family.

  • Aubrey (Bree) Sibelman (she/her)

    Aubrey graduated from Portland State University with a Master’s of Education in 2012 and has been an elementary school teacher ever since. She believes that education is the key to creating a society in which all people are respected and valued for who they are. Aubrey cares deeply about the LGBTQ+ community and is always looking for more ways to contribute. In her free time, she loves playing board games with her wife, listening to her ever-expanding collection of vinyl, and writing sci-fi and horror stories.

  • Leif Eccles (they/them)

    Leif earned their B.S. from Linfield University and M.S. from Oregon State University in applied physics. They taught college physics for over a decade and now work in the semiconductor industry. They put a high value on finding balance between work, family, and community. Leif is a dedicated parent to an amazing tween. They have also put their time and energy into various organizations that support and uplift the LGBTQIA community over the years. In every role, they strive to be visibly queer in order to make others feel safe to be their authentic selves. For fun, they love getting outside into nature, creating art, and spending time with their kiddo.

  • Renee Elliott (she/her)

    Renee has lived, worked, and raised a family in Hillsboro for the past 20 years. She works in a Leadership position for a major roadside assistance provider and is a member of their LGBTQIA+ Employee Resource Group. As a parent (2 of her 3 children are members of the queer community) she is especially passionate about providing spaces where people of all ages can feel safe and supported in being their authentic selves.

    In her spare time, Renee enjoys attending theater productions, reading, watching movies, being out in nature, and spending time with her 3 grandchildren.

  • Amber Davis Ota (she/they)

    Amber is a former Learning & Development professional who now dedicates their time to writing speculative fiction and volunteering. Through volunteer work, she strives to help Washington County grow and shine as an accepting, inclusive, multi-cultural community. Like many PNW natives, Amber enjoys spending time in nature. Indoors, they like to read voraciously and craft aimlessly. 

  • Katharine Weisbrodt (she/they)

    Katharine is a doctoral Clinical Psychology student at Pacific University and previously earned a BA in Neuroscience from Amherst College.  As she recently moved from Wisconsin, Katharine hopes to foster a safe space for queer people in the area.  

    In their free time, they love anything outdoors, playing sports, collecting plants, baking and watching shows with their partner.

  • Alex Bateman-Pooser (they/them)

    Alex has been a certified Peer Wellness Specialist for mental health since 2022. Utilizing personal lived experience, they strive to support and empower others in the LGBT community.A freelance digital artist on the side, Alex takes any chance they can get to be creative! They're also an avid gamer (both videogames and TTRPGs), they have an interest in the occult, and they take care of three very rambunctious cats.

  • Brandy Penner (she/her)

    Brandy is a social justice advocate who currently works with LGBTQ+ older adults and draws experience from supporting her transgender lesbian daughter. She holds a BA in Sociology/Social Work and has experience in public service as an elected official, campaign manager, people organizer, and program manager.  Her favorite things are a love for travel, adventure, the outdoors, and a comforting cup of black tea with honey. 

  • Zeloszelos Marchandt (he/him/his/they)

    Zeloszelos (Zelos for short) is of Hausa, Fulani, Seminole and Tsalagi descent. They grew up in Washington County and Clatsop County initially attending school for classical voice and pedagogy before changing their academic focus to journalism and multimedia with a focus in transgender history. His interdisciplinary background of investigation, forensics, performing arts and film gives him a unique lived experience and perspective that has collaboratively helped to actualize better representation for 2SLGBTQIA  people in Oregon and greater Turtle Island. Zelos founded T & A Grand Theater and Media, a production company focusing on QTPOC projects of interest and Tauraro Artist in Residency and Film Festival, a nine month creative entrepreneurial accelerator for Black and First Nations trans and queer artists - now a part of the Hillsboro Film Festival.

  • Julie Park (she/her)

    Julie is a food blogger by profession and parent to two pitbulls and four school-aged kids and tweens. Having grown up between Philly and Cleveland, Julie has now lived in Portland for nearly 20 years. She studied Classics at the University of Chicago and has a BA in Sociology and Women’s Studies from Temple University. Julie is passionate about volunteerism and has years of experience with feminist, queer organizations, and nonprofits focused on food and housing insecurity. When not working, momming or volunteering, Julie loves to go to the movies with her partner, cross-stitch, do puzzles, bar trivia, travel, and definitely eating!
